DON’T LET ME GO

Before he could say anything after the little stunt I pulled Brandon got a phone call so he excused himself. I exhaled loudly when he left and feeling giddy I held my burning cheek in my hand as I giggled I can believe Im marrying that guy, this won be so bad I thought completely ignoring the knock on the door

” maam, master Yor asked me to bring you these, he also said to tell you that he had to attend a meeting and he won be back till the evening, ” a woman who looked like she was in her thirties informed me before leaving. I took the bags and had a look at what was inside, there were clothes, shoes and a phone with only one saved number which was probably Brandons.

I took the clothes and went to the bathroom, ”This hospital has everything ” I said to myself as I took off my dress but paused short on looking in the mirror, ” oh god I look like I was struck like lightning and came straight out of a horror movie, and Brandon saw me like this! ” my hair was tangled, the mascara applied on my face earlier was stuck due my cheeks because of crying

Ive never been someone who cared about looks but looking at my reflection in the mirror I felt insecure and wanted to look worthy of being called Brandons wife even if it was just a contract. I took my bath and wore a yellow mini dress with an open back and a brown laced sandal because it was summer

I dailed the number on the phone and after a while someone picked up, ”is this Brandon? ” I asked in a low tone, ”Yes its me ” he replied

”I received the things you sent me and your message, thank you ” I said ”you don have to thank me, as your husband to be be its my duty. ” ”right I managed to say, the line went silent for a while until he said, ”Im sure your dad should be awake by now so you can go see him before my driver takes the two of you to the house, if theres nothing else Ill see you when I get home ” ”alright, bye ”

I smiled as I walked to the room my dad was kept in, when I walked into the room the nurse was taking the food tray away while my dad wiped his mouth with the napkin

”dad ” I called softly as I ran to embrace him gently, tears of joy rolling down my face, ”Amy dear don worry dads alright, didn I tell you I wouldn leave this world without seeing you get married? Now how did the you manage to pay the bills? the doctors said they have been settled already. Where did you get a huge sum Amy, should i be worried? ” He asked while stroking my back lovingly, that always calms me down

After taking deep breaths I told him all that happened and he smiled throughout as if he knew this would happen, ”I knew you would surpass the other girls there, but if you feel you can go through with the marriage then don sign the contract, well be fine without his money although I feel you have a liking to the young man already judging by the way you blush each time you mentioned him ” dad said giving me a knowing look ”dad! don worry Ill be fine besides its just a contractual marriage. ” I said the last part albeit lowly and dad noticed that because he pulled me into a hug, we stayed like that for a while until we heard a knock at the door.

The driver who brought me here last night came in and informed us that the car was ready and hes here to take us home, I was still hesitant about taking dad away from the hospital when he was just admitted there but Paul, the driver, told me that Brandon had living doctors at his house and that set my heart at ease.

The doctors helped me in taking dad to the car and soon after the journey to my new life as Mrs. Yor began

Once we reached the gate, I marvelled at how beautiful the exterior of the house was and my astonishment grew as we drove in. There was a large garden with all sorts of flowers at the front of the mansion with a fountain in the middle, the mansion was painted in a grey colour and had three storeys, when we got down from the car, there were servants lined up in front of the house and one of them who looked more sophisticated introduced himself as the others helped my dad out of the car, ”Welcome young mistress, my name is William, the butler, ” I smiled at him as he led the way into the mansion

Dad was immediately taken to his room which was already prepared and I followed William to Brandons room to take a quick nap since I was so exhausted, His room alone was as large as my apartment, there was a shelf filled with books to the brim at the corner of the room with a sofa next to it, the king-sized bed st the centre of the room looked like it could contain a family of five

Although large, his room was pretty plain I guess its because hes a man. I walked over to the bathroom which had a bathtub that looked like a jacuzzi and a shower whose temperature could be controlled, I strolled through the room like a child visiting Disney land for the first time, I decided to put on pajamas since it was evening hours but there wasn any among the clothes brought to me in the morning so I just decided to wear one of Brandons shirts which looked like a dress on me, although I was quite tall for a woman I was still short compared to Brandon so his clothes naturally looked bigger on me.

I walked our of the closet and took one of the books from the shelf before settling down on the sofa to read it since I was bored and I didn yet have any apps or contacts apart from Brandons on my phone and I was too tired to start installing them, not long after I sat down to read the book, I fell asleep with my leg dangling on the couch arm but I couldn care less about that.
