As I got home I immediately went to my room to check up on Amy, William said she retired to the room and hadn come out yet for dinner

I walked towards the girl sleeping at the corner of the room which no longer felt like mine alone. Her feet were dangling in the air and she drooled a little but she looked like a goddess in my eyes,

I don know what spell Amy peters has cast on me, the rumoured devil Prince that Im now getting attached to her but I didn really mind the change anymore, I just wanted to be happy like when I first met her at the garden. She looked so peaceful while sleeping that I didn have the heart to wake her up, especially after all shes been through so I decided to let her sleep thirty more minutes before waking her up for dinner but I made sure to carry her to the bed first after which I went to check up on her dad and have a talk with him.

”Sir, ” I said formally as I sat down on the chair next to his bed, ”Oh you must be Brandon, my daughter told me what you did for us, thank you for your kindness, although I must warn you now that even though Im not a powerful man like yourself I won let you off easy if you harm a her on her head. ” he went straight to the point and told me his true feelings, I must admit that was impressive of him considering Amy isn his biological daughter and I had more power than him.

”I understand sir and I promise not to hurt her or let anyone hurt her, ” that was a promise I made not only to him but also to myself because for some reason I don want to see her hurt, I want to relaxed and carefree look she had on her face the first time I saw her to never leave her face. ”Don be so formal with me although your marriage is a contract you

e okay with it. ” He said in a more relaxed manner than when the conversation started ”Alright, father ”

I spoke with him for some time more before leaving after he fell asleep, Amy was still asleep when I got to the room but this time I had to wake her up for dinner.

”Amy, Amy ” I called out to her and after the third call she fluttered her eyelids open and rubbed her eyes in a really bizarre but cute manner. ”its dinner time, lets go downstairs ” I told her, she nodded and stood up but because she was still sleepy she lost her balance, luckily I was able to catch her in time

we went to the dining room and sat down while the chef served us, as someone who grew up not talking to people it was hard for me to start a conversation, ”so- ” ”I didn have any pajamas to wear so I borrowed yours, sorry about that ” she interrupted me while intertwining her fingers together nervously and it was then that I noticed she had my shirt on, I must have been distracted by her face that I didn even pay attention to her outfit. ”Its fine Amy, and tomorrow Ill have someone get you some clothes since well be going to the Court to sign the marriage certificate while we plan the wedding ”

”oh….right the wedding, well after we sign the contract can I to back to my old apartment to get some stuff I left behind ” she asked ”Sure no problem. ” we didn say a word after that but simply enjoyed our meal in silence after which I headed to my office while she went to the lounge.

I couldn get my mind of her and the earlier scene kept on replaying in my head, her milky white legs dangling on the couch arm, the serene look on her face as she slept peacefully and the way my shirt looked on her body while she ate were things I couldn get off my mind so I decided to go for a drive to clear my head. I wasn sure where I was headed but I kept on driving until I reached the cliff where I took a life for the first time, even to this day I still hear his screams, the screams of the man who tried to **** my mother and left her mentally scared for years. I clenched my fists as the nemories of that night flooded my brain and when I couldn take it, I punched the tree near me causing my hand to bleed but I couldn care less about that so I just got into the car and went back home.

I expected to find Amy sleeping but it seemed like the food energized her since she was reading a novel instead, she was so immersed in whatever she was reading that she didn even take notice of my presence until I came out of the closet with a first aid kit in hand.

”Oh my god, what happened to you!? ”she asked worriedly as she crawled to my end of the bed taking my hand in hers, ”Nevermind that, let me help tend to your wound. ” I said nothing and rested my head on the headboard but when I felt no movements from her I opened my eyes to see her toying with her fingers shyly so I asked, ”Is anything the matter? ” she looked up at me and said, ”Well, I wasn sure if you were okay with me tending to your wound since you said nothing when I told you I would do it. ”

I wanted to face-palm myself, how could I have forgotten shes not used to me yet so she wouldn have known I was fine with it, ”its fine Amy, you may proceed, ” I told her and hearing my assurance she smiled and began disinfecting the wound. This girl I thought to myself as I shook my head and closed my eyes enjoying the warmth of her fingers on mine.

She had treated the wound and we were now laying on the bed facing opposite sides but as usual I had trouble sleeping so I just tossed and turned in bed until I heard her saying, ”Brandon, if you can sleep I can be your teddy bear, whenever my friend is ill and can sleep I act as get teddy bear and she falls asleep so I don mind being yours. ” My jaw dropped to the floor on hearing her bold statement, if it was any other girl I would have thought she was trying to seduce me but Amy wasn that type of girl based on what Id seen and she genuinely wanted to help.

”Aren you afraid of me or what I might do to you? ” I asked her, ”I am rumored to be a devil Prince after all, ” she just shook her head at me. ”No Im not afraid you will do anything to me because you don seem like such a person and Im a good judge of character, ” she started, ”Also, if you really were the devil Prince you wouldn have gotten hurt in the first place and if you did you could have easily healed your self with your powers so I don believe it. ”

Did she really just play a fantasy card on me I asked myself perplexed.

”Alright Amy, you can be my teddy bear. ” I told her, wondering why I even agreed to that in the first place.

Half an hour later I was the one who became her teddy bear but I really didn mind it and that bothered me. This girl is changing me, I said to myself before drifting away into sleep with Amy wrapped around me tightly.
