Silas Bishop.

He had initiated the breakthrough into the Grand Lord class.

I hated the bastard, but I couldn’t move my eyes away from it; it was the thing I had wanted for so long, and I really wished I wouldn’t be getting it from the man I hated the most.

A minute later, I walked out of the abode and saw Silas Bishop in the corner of the clearing; he was sitting under a powerful protective formation, with eighteen humans standing guards around him; all of them were High-Grandmasters.

There are many familiar people there, including Lady Veronica.

I moved toward it, but just as I appeared close, an old man with an iron saber at his waist appeared in front of me, stopping me from going any further.

“Grandmaster Zaar, my apologies, but I could not let you go any further,” said the old man; he was not alone in stopping me; four other High-Grandmaster drew close, ready to protect their leader.

The old man and the four belong to the same organization, the sky saber, and they know the kind of relationship I had with their leader.

“Relax, Lord Norman; I am just here to watch.
If I want to do anything against your leader, even you wouldn’t be able to stop me,” I said with a friendly smile on my face.

The old man looked at me for a second before he sighed and stepped away, giving me the clear way to the bishop.

I walked a few steps before stopping at the edge of the protective formation, which was quite powerful.
Even Grand Lords would find it very hard to break it.

Thankfully, it is completely transparent, so I can see what is inside.
The meta-scan could only show what was happening inside his body, not what was outside, especially when all his powers were sealed for the breakthrough.

“What do you think about our leader’s breakthrough, Grandmaster?” asked Lord Norman as he appeared beside me.

“Bishop’s soul and body had reached the complete limit; his energy had acquired the needed purity and comprehension into his inheritance, and first energy had also reached very high that he wouldn’t have any problem standing against the Grand Lord for minutes or two,” I replied.

“I am sensing a ‘but’ in your sentence, Grandmaster,” said the old man.
To that, I smiled.

“Your leader has filled all the boxes he needed to become a Grand Lord, but as you are aware.
If filling the boxes is all we need to reach the level of Grand Lord, then we wouldn’t have had such a puny number of them,” I replied, and this time, its his time to smile mirthlessly.

The old man himself filled all the boxes, but he did not dare to try to level up; it was not easy.
People said it was a game of luck; those who were lucky would level up while others merged back into the earth.

“Still, what do you think about the chances of our leaders succeeding?” asked the old man, the question which I did not answer immediately.

“Given his talent, I would say they are fifty-fifty,” I replied and could see the old man taking a sigh of relief as the hope sparkled in his eyes.

This is quite a great chance, and one part of me really wishes they hadn’t been.
I even wanted to sabotage him, and I could, but I controlled my emotions.

Him succeeding will give us a Grand Lord, who would be tremendously useful in the war, and his chances are good.

He might be hateful, but he is one of the most talented among humans; by checking all the boxes to the highest, he might really succeed.
