The Hidden King’s Heir

After sending Arthur to safety, Keya was busy protecting his parents. She took down the snakeman easily and then helped Arthurs parents move to a safer location. She made sure that they were perfectly safe before preparing to return to Arthurs side. She got everything ready for the journey, she packed up Arthurs clothes and got ready to move. This was done in a few hours at most. It was when Keya opened her purse to get the travel stone, that she saw that she had handed Arthur the wrong travel stone in heat of the situation. Keya panicked, she started to rummage through her purse to search for the same type of travel stone she had given Arthur, all the while praying that Arthur is ok. She finally got one and hurriedly activated it.

Keya got the same feeling as if the world around her started spinning but she was used to this. She emerged on the little island Arthur had landed on and started shouting for Arthur. She was almost to the tree line when she felt it. It was Arthur calling her, but his voice sounded so weak, scared that something had happened to him, she disappeared to his side. Keya materialised next to the creatures body. She looks at it and instantly gets her weapon out, ”What is a chimaera doing on such a small island? Where is my lord? What happened to be there a crater this big? ”, Keya nervously trailed off.

Then she saw him, Arthurs body on top of the chimaera. He was unconscious and bleeding profusely and it also seemed like his leg was broken. Crying hard she rushes to his side and starts treating his wounds. She rummages through her purse to find the medicine Queen Nyx had given her and applies it on Arthur. And it was like, nothing ever happened to Arthur, his body returned to normal, the bleeding stopped even his leg got healed. She lifted Arthur and took him down from the chimaeras body and laid him on a bed she conjured using magic.

She looked at the chimaera, it looked like it fell from a great height. She wanted to know what had happened so she used her magic.

”Spirits of Earth, show me what happened here ”. A huge translucent medium appeared mid-air, showing the scenes that had happened. How Arthur was smashed on the tree, how he had fought the chimaera, getting closer to it dodging and weaving from its attacks, how he had climbed up to its neck and stabbed it, how both had crashed into the island from the sky. Keya was shocked, Arthur who had no training, no combat experience took down a chimaera alone. It was just unbelievable, this should not have happened, there is absolutely no way a person without combat experience can take down a chimaera. Is this the result of having both dragon and demon blood?

Deep down Keya had always thought that Arthur was nothing special and was only receiving this protection since he was the heir of a king. But now that she saw what had happened, she instinctively knew, that if Arthur was given proper training, he would live a life of domination. He would be a person who wields both dragon and demon powers, and he will dominate the entire world. Now that she knew what kind of being Arthur will be, she can help but feel more protective of him. Just as she was about to conjure up some food, she heard Arthur groan.

Arthur groans, if he is dead then why did it hurt so much? It felt like his whole body was being crushed by a hydraulic press while his insides felt like it was burning. He opens his eyes and sees the sky. Does hell have a blue sky or something, Arthur thought. Then he turns his head around and sees Keya, he tries to call her but the sound won come from his mouth. Keya sees that Arthur was trying to say something she bowed down and started apologising.

”I am extremely sorry my lord, in the heat of the situation I gave you the wrong travel stone. This is a blunder on my part, you can punish me, my lord. You can even execute me if you wish. ”, Keya said half crying. Arthur was looking at her with a blank expression. So the reason he couldn find the path was that he teleported to a different location, and now it made sense.

Arthur was about to say that it was alright when his blood started to boil inside him. It felt like someone had lit a fire in his heart. He screamed and thrashed around, Keya immediately rushed to his side and started checking his condition. When she started to check his heart, it was then she stumbled backwards, muttering something. Her face showed signs of severe shock. Arthur felt as if his body was being lit from the inside. He screamed thrashing around in the pain. After about a minute he passed out and his breathing became heavy. Keya watched this dumbfounded, Arthur had managed to awaken his dragon heart.

Arthur woke up after an hour or so, and Keya was still beside him. When Keya saw that Arthur was conscious, she immediately bowed down, ”Congratulations my lord, you have successfully awakened your dragon heart ”. Arthur looked at her puzzled.

”What is that? ”, Arthur asked.

”The dragon heart is the lifeline of dragons, it allows you to have immense strength and ability to do magic without chanting, but your dragon heart seems to be a bit different. ”, Keya explained. Then she bowed down once again, ”I failed to protect you my lord and gave you the wrong travel stone in heat of the situation. You can punish me however you want ”. Arthur is confused but accepts it. Nothing in his life has made any sense for the past few days, he might as well throw away his way of thinking.

”What do you mean different? ”, Arthur asked.

”Normally when a person awakens dragon heart, their heart becomes engraved with 7 magical circuits which enable them to use any kind of magic without troubles. Usually one awakens their dragon heart when they are 14 years old. But your dragon heart is different, instead of 7 magical circuits you have only 1 magical circuit, but it seems like that 1 magical circuit is stronger than 7 magical circuits. Also, magical circuits cover are supposed to cover the entire heart, but your circuit only covers a small part of your heart. I have never seen or heard of such a thing before. ”, Keya explained.

”Maybe this happened because of late awakening? ”, Arthur questions. Keya shakes her head, ”No my lord you are the youngest ever to awaken the dragon heart. Others usually awake theirs when they are 14 years old in draconic years. ”

Arthur looks at her confused, ”Draconic year? Whats that? ”.

”One draconic year equals ten human years, my lord. So they usually awaken their dragon heart around 140 years old in human years. ”, Keya explained. Arthurs brain had surrendered now, all of this was too much information, one draconic year is 10 human years? Doesn that mean that he is one and a half years old? What the hell is going on? ”. Arthur asks shakily, ”By the way, how old are you Keya? ”.

”I am 26 years old in draconic years, my lord. ”, Keya replied bowing. Arthurs head started spinning, so his protector is a 260-year-old lady? ”. Arthur started laughing nervously, ”What happened to my normal life? ”.

Keya bowed down again, ” I have committed a grave sin of endangering your life, my lord. You can punish me with death ”. Arthur stammered, ”D…dd..eath? There is no need to do that, everyone makes mistakes now and then come on ”. Keya refuses to move without Arthur punishing her for her offence. Arthur thinks for a while, ”Ok Keya as your punishment you will have to do anything I tell you without questioning. ”

”Yes, my lord. ”, Keya replied. Arthur gave really evil smirk, he had many ideas about what he was going to make her do. ”Keya I want to go to see my birth parents. ” Keya bowed and replied, ”Yes, my lord. ”

Arthur and Keya got ready to go to the Hidden Kingdom(as Keya told him, the kingdoms name was the Hidden Kingdom). Arthur got his dagger and white rod, now that he looked at it he has no idea what it is. He asked Keya about it. Keya replied, ”That is a dragon tooth, my lord, it can be made into a weapon. An expert blacksmith can make it into any kind of weapon you like. Dragon teeth weapons are immensely powerful and can cut through anything. They are one of the most sought-after weapon materials, but it is not available easily. That I think is the tooth of Dragon King Azeroth. ” Arthurs mind went blank. So my father gifted me his tooth on my birthday? Is this normal?

Both of them took the travelling stone and teleported to the Hidden Kingdom. On arriving, Arthur looked around speechless, ”What the hell is this? ”.
